Hi! My name is Jillian and welcome to my blog!!
I have decided to start a blog so I can share about all of the wonderful things I love like: makeup, movies, books, travel, and food! I have decided that for my first post I would let you all get to know me a little bit better by answering these questions I found in a "Get to Know You Tag" video on youtube.
I really try to be a morning person! I have this incredible fear of being late to places, like work or school, so I make sure to wake myself up super early so I can get ready and where I need to be early and I am generally pretty good about getting myself up. However if I don't have anywhere I need to be for the day I am more than capable of sleeping in a bit :)
2. Are you a collector of anything?
Makeup!!
3. What was your fav childhood tv show?
I loved watching the food network and nick at nite as a young child (and I still do today!) Some of my favorites included: Essence of Emeril, Two Hot Tamales, Malto Mario, How to Boil Water, Happy Days, Mary Tyler Moore, Laverne & Shirley, The Bob Newhart Show, and The Brady Bunch!!
4. What do you think about before you fall asleep?
Usually I think about the long list of things I need to to the next day.
5. What is your fav color?
PINK!!!
6. Have you ever been addicted to any video/computer games?
When I was a child I loved playing Reader Rabbit and this one game that came on my mac. And I also was obsessed with playing the Jungle Book game on my cousin's Sega Genesis when I would go to visit. But that is about the only times I have played video/computer games. I preferred doing arts and crafts or playing with Barbies/Baby Dolls. As far as playing computer/video games now is concerned I play games online at www.pogo.com between classes at school and my wii is mainly used for streaming instant netflix.
7. Do you have any bad habits?
PROCASTINATION!!
8. Do you have any siblings?
I have a younger sister.
9. Any tattoos/piercings?
I have 3 holes in each ear and 3 tattoos.
10. What would be your dream vehicle/bike?
I would absolutely love if I could get another bug convertible!
11. What famous person do people say you look like?
Well since I am a redhead and a teenager people say Lindsay Lohan the most. . . but that was before she went blonde and crazy!
12. What is your fav flower?
Daisies.
13. What did you want to be when you were little? Will you ever be?
I wanted to be a chef when I was little. And I am seriously considering going to Culinary School after I finish up my Bachelor's in Business Administration.
14. What's stashed under your bed/mattress?
The random toys/socks/other stuff that my dog hides under there.
15. What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Put on my slippers (unless my dog has taken them ransom in the middle of the night) and turn on the news.
16. Do you consider yourself a clean or messy person?
When I was little my mom found a children's book called "Jillian Jiggs" and since NOTHING/NO ONE had my name she immediately bought it for me. The catchphrase of the book is "Jillian, Jillian, Jillian Jiggs it looks like your room has been lived in by pigs!" and I must admit that I live up to that namesake very, very well.
17. If you could live anywhere other than where you live now, where would it be and why?
Italy! Ever since I went there when I was 15 I have wanted to go back to study abroad. In college I decided that I would take Italian 101 to get familiar with the language even though I knew my trip was far off. I ended up falling in love with the language and continued all the way through to Italian 4 (which I am *almost* done with - - - the final is on Tuesday!) and have now decided to minor in it. I can't wait until next fall when I will be living and studying in Torino, Italy and I sincerely hope that won't be the only time I get to live somewhere outside of the U.S.
18. What is your fav song right now?
Since it is Christmas it is appropriate to say that "All I Want for Christmas is You" is my favorite song at the moment.
19. Do you have any hidden talents?
Cooking! For some reason people are surprised that I can cook something other than toast, cereal, or mac n cheese and it actually tastes good. . . I think it is because of the whole teenager/poor college student stereotype!
20. What's the one thing that many people don't know about you?

21. What's your fav movie of all times?
This is way too hard of a question for me! I have a ton of favorite movies and am planning on my next blog post being on my top 10 favorite movies.
22. Do you know the origin of your name?
As far as why my parents chose my name, I am pretty sure that it was just a name they saw in a baby name book that went nicely with my middle name and they both liked. And from what I have gathered Jillian is an English name meaning youthful.
23. What did your last text on your cell say?
It was a picture of my adorable 9 week old nephew on his first trip to the Cabi outlet with my mom and sister!
